Ladera school celebrates students’ accomplishments

Students who have participated in the various after-school programs such as the Science Camps, Research & Presentation, Music, PGFC and Math Court were all recognized in a program that ties up LISS’ first intramural 3 on 3 basketball competition and faculty vs. students volleyball competition.

This event was well attended as parents, guest and students enjoyed the festivities organized by LISS athletic coordinator and 7th grade teacherTony Satur and LISS events coordinator and kindergarten teacher  Gen Angeles.

The 3 on 3 basketball tournament was a one-week activity leading to the matches between the final two teams in each division — high school and 14 and under.

Prizes for the two top division champions were a trophy and a water park pass provided by the Pacific Islands Club.

“Fun day activities are always a highlight for our students.  Given the intense studies put into each class, from each teacher, and after school programs, these fun day activities come welcomed with excitement and enthusiasm from both the local and International Students,” stated Wayne Pangelinan, LISS director.

In line with the ongoing push for education-tourism, LISS continues to make an impact abroad through the experiences it provides its students.

LISS provides academic challenges, have students participate in an array of English programs as well interscholastic competitions, and coordinates its own after school activities for children to expand their academic abilities.
