One retiree said he will join the lawsuit.
“I am more than willing to be one of the plaintiffs,” Sapuro Rayphand said in an e-mail to the Variety.
Rayphand is currently a director of the Commonwealth Retirees Association.
Guam Federal Court Judge Frances M. Tydingco Gatewood earlier granted the motion for substitution of parties, but did not consider the emergency motion filed by Jorgensen.
The anonymous plaintiffs “John Doe and Jane Roe” were replaced by David L. Price, former Rep. Tina Sablan and Carmela Sablan.
The motion for substitution of parties were incorporated in Jorgensen’s emergency motion, which asked the federal court for the issuance of a temporary restraining order and further legal and equitable relief as to the effect on the Retirement Fund of the CNMI’s constitutionally mandated government shutdown.
Variety learned that Jorgensen will be filing an additional motion on Oct. 11, 2010 in response to Gatewood’s order.
