Lawyer to speak at Kids Fun Night

Rabby Syed and Ronnie Doca, the leaders of the group, said Hill will deliver an inspirational message and discuss the values of the late civil rights champion Dr. Martin Luther King.

“We are expecting at least 300 children to attend the event,” Syed said.

The event will start at 3 p.m. at the Minatchom Atdao pavillon in Susupe.

Syed said Hill is a good speaker who can inspire children on how to live their lives.

Doca said all children, regardless of ethnicity and nationality, are invited to join the fun.

The other invited speakers are Kathryn Barry and Rebecca Diaz-Cartagena of the U.S. Census Bureau’s CNMI  office.

The two will talk about the importance of census.

“The activity would be both educational and entertaining,” Doca said.

Syed said there will be cultural presentation and performances, including a magic show by Joel Prinze Salvosa.

Lots of prizes will be given away, he added.

Also performing are the Uncle Ben Saipan Dream Academy, the Bangladesh Cultural Group and the  Bayani group.

Syed is hoping the program will show to the community that children from different ethnic backgrounds have no “racial attitudes” toward each other.

“This activity will help build a healthy community,” he said.

The CNMI government, he added, should also recognize children by designating a special day for them.
