Governor reappoints Stephen Sablan to zoning board

GOVERNOR David M. Apatang on Thursday reappointed Stephen P. Sablan to the Commonwealth Zoning Board.

In his letter to the Saipan and Northern Islands Legislative Delegation Chairman, Rep. John Paul P. Sablan, the governor said he and Lt. Gov. Dennis James Mendiola are confident that Stephen Sablan will continue to devote his time and efforts to the important board.

The governor added that Stephen Sablan’s renomination will ensure consistency in fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Zoning Board. He requested the Saipan delegation’s favorable action on the renomination.

In a separate letter to Stephen Sablan, the governor reiterated that he and the lieutenant governor are confident the nominee will continue to dedicate his time and efforts to the board.

If confirmed, Stephen Sablan will serve another two-year term on the zoning board.

The other current Zoning Board members are Chairwoman Eleanor Alinas, Vice Chairman Michael N. Evangelista, Secretary Steve Jang, and Henry S. Hofschneider.
