The CNMI Joint Information Center is reminding Super Typhoon Sinlaku survivors that the deadline to apply for the S.T.R.O.N.G. Tent and Roofing Program is June 1, 2026, at 5 p.m.
CNMI homeowners affected by Super Typhoon Sinlaku may be eligible for a temporary tent and/or roofing assistance (for Saipan and Tinian) while permanent repairs are underway. The program is provided at no cost and is coordinated by the CNMI government; the Saipan, Tinian, and Rota mayors’ offices; CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management; FEMA; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and the U.S. Department of Defense.
Visit your local mayor’s office to register and complete a Right of Entry form. USACE will assess your home for eligibility, and approved households will receive temporary roofing at no cost. Accepting a temporary roof will not affect FEMA disaster assistance or emergency tent eligibility.
