(SCC) — The Saipan Chamber of Commerce would like to inform our members and the general public that our 2nd Quarter Professional Development Training, originally scheduled for May 21, 2026, has been officially canceled due to the ongoing aftermath and recovery efforts following Super Typhoon Sinlaku.
The training, titled “Strategic Leadership and Effective Management: Leadership That Works Through Practical Strategies for Supervisors, Managers, and Executives,” was being organized as part of SCC’s continued commitment to workforce and leadership development within the CNMI business community.
This training was scheduled in collaboration with Northern Marianas College’s Community Development Institute, and the Chamber extends its sincere gratitude to Northern Marianas College, CDI, and Dr. Galvin Deleon Guerrero for their valued partnership, support, and willingness to help bring this important professional development opportunity to our membership.
However, in consideration of the significant challenges many businesses, organizations, and families are currently facing as a result of the recent storm, SCC believes it is most appropriate to prioritize community recovery efforts and allow its members the necessary time to focus on immediate operational and personal needs.
“We understand the importance of professional development opportunities and had looked forward to hosting this meaningful training for our members. We also extend our sincere appreciation to all those who expressed interest in participating and supporting this event.”
Participants who have already completed registration and submitted payment will be contacted directly by the Chamber regarding refund arrangements and next steps.
SCC remains committed to continuing its efforts to provide relevant trainings, business resources, and recovery support opportunities for its members as the community moves forward.
“We thank you for your understanding, continued resilience, and support during this time.”
