Western Pacific Fisheries Regional Management Council on-site coordinator Jack Ogumoro said they are giving out copies of the calendars to fishermen and students.
He said the calendar is useful for fishermen because aside from the phases of the moon, it also has information about the condition of the tide for the whole month.
The calendar likewise indicates what fish can be caught during a certain period of time.
Moreover, it features some of the winning entries from the fisheries council student art contest held on Guam and the CNMI in January.
These include the works of Marianas High School students Asher Crisostomo and Rozette Bunao who were the first prize winners; Elsa Camacho, third prize; and Jesmyn Sablan, fourth prize.
Copies of the calendar are also available on Guam and the American Samoa.
The printing of the calendars was funded by a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Coral Reef Conservation Program grant.
