Man arrested for burglary, theft on Tinian

During the defendant’s initial appearance and bail hearing on Tuesday afternoon, Wiseman noted that Borja had been involved in several juvenile cases.

The judge remanded Borja to the custody of the Department of Corrections after the hearing.

Assistant Attorney General Brian D. Gallagher represented the government while Assistant Public Defender Richard Miller was appointed as counsel for Borja.

Police said Borja was accused of taking $646 in bills and quarters at U-Lick Poker 2 on Sunday morning, May 29.

Borja was spotted inside the poker room, and the police invited him for investigation, according to Detective Shawn Lee SN Borja.

Police recovered $500 cash from Borja.

The poker room’s manager met with Borja who asked for forgiveness and said he wanted pay back what he stole.

Borja’s unattended pick-up truck was later located near the road by  Lung Feng Market and items reportedly stolen from the Department of Commerce were also found by the police.
