Judge David A. Wiseman found probable cause for the continued detention of Funkugub and imposed a $10,000 cash bail.
The defendant is being held on charges of disturbing the peace, assault and battery, illegal possession of ammunition, and possession of firearm.
Chief Prosecutor Michael Ernest asked for $25,000 cash bail.
Assistant Public Defender Matthew Meyer, who was appointed by the court as Funkugub’s counsel, requested a $2,000 bail.
Wiseman remanded Funkugub to the custody of the Department of Corrections after his probable cause hearing yesterday afternoon.
Detective John Cabrera was the government witness.
On Tuesday, at about 6:04 p.m., Department of Public Safety dispatched officers to As Teo near Santa Lourdes shrine due to reported gunshots.
Responding officers met the victim who said Funkugub slapped and choked her, and fired a .38 caliber revolver. Police recovered the handgun with seven bullets inside the house.
Police said Funkugub fired at the trash bin.
Variety was told Funkugub also tried to shoot himself.
Wiseman ordered Funkugub to stay away from the victim.
