Man gets 4 days for disturbing the peace

Superior Court Judge Kenneth L. Govendo originally sentenced Hiroyoshi, 43, to two months imprisonment, all suspended except for four days, with credit for two and a half days time served.

The prosecution charged Hiroyoshi with assault and battery, and disturbing the peace of his victim on March 3, 2011.

Details of the incident were not immediately known.

Hiroyoshi’s counsel Vincent DLG. Torres and Chief Prosecutor Michael Ernest  informed the court of the non-trial disposition of the case, and signed a plea agreement.

The court dismissed with prejudice the remaining charge as moved by the prosecution.

After his release from prison on Sunday, May 15, 6 a.m., Hiroyoshi will be placed on one year probation.

The court required Hiroyoshi to pay a $25 court assessment fee, a $500 fine, an annual probation fee to be determined by the Adult Probation Office, and to not possess or consume alcohol during probationary period.

Hiroyoshi was ordered to pay $700 as restitution for his victim, to write a letter of apology and to not have any contact with his victim for the duration of the probationary period.
