Man, woman to plead guilty in separate cases

Jorlard O. Borja and Crispina Domingo  appeared for an initial change of plea hearing on Tuesday but the matter was continued to June 16.

The defendants were represented by Assistant Public Defender Janet King while the prosecutor was Assistant Attorney General Jeffery Warfield Sr.

Both of the defendants are on bail release.

Borja was charged with assault and battery and disturbing the peace for punching and pushing his common-law wife on Jan. 1.

Domingo was charged with two counts of theft by deception and one count of forgery.

The information filed by the prosecution in court stated that Domingo, sometime in June  2007, obtained $1,025 from Nilda Sison by deception.

The defendant obtained $500 from Leon A. Molina and or Annie Mangahis by deception on or about March 2007, the information added.

In February 2007, the defendant committed forgery when she unlawfully uttered a writing — a contract agreement  — between Mercedes V. Reyes and Nilda Sison knowing that she was facilitating a fraudulent document, the information stated.
