WHAT better way to soothe the body and mind after a physical fitness activity than a luxurious Bali-inspired spa facility?
At Mandi Asian Spa, anybody can have the best of both worlds.
This $1.2 million expansion project at Marianas Resort & Spa in Marpi is soon to open its state of the art gym.
Lito B. Parulan, operation manager, said the comfort of an indoor gym will complement the services of the spa facility.
Mandi Asian Spa—the only outdoor spa facility in the CNMI—is inspired by Bali, and it aims to create a Southeast Asian atmosphere here in the Northern Marianas.
The facility, which sits on a 2,500-sq. m. resort area, consists of seven Asian style massage rooms, Jacuzzi and swimming pool, aromatherapy steamed sauna, dry sauna, flower bath, spacious locker rooms, a library facility and a beautiful garden.
It offers traditional Indonesian phytotherapy using tropical fruits, spices and flowers while the spa provides massage and body treatment services. Called “Jamu,” this style and philosophy of Asian resort healing is known to ease tiredness and stress.
The facility offers clients with well-selected body treatments. Facial treatment course, sports massage, foot reflexology and hair and scalp treatment are also offered.
Since its opening in November, Mandi Asian Spa has attracted a large number of tourists and local residents.
“It has always been our goal to attract not only our hotel guests, but the local community as well. We have also reduced our membership fee,” Parulan said.
Mandi Asian Spa recently reduced its individual membership fee from $1,000 to $688. All other types of membership fees may also be cut down.
“Clients can also avail of all the hotel’s services––swimming, horse back riding, karting, the use of golf course and the tennis court,” Parulan said.
