The battalion’s cadets were split into two groups. Group #1 started at the Koblerville Mobil gas station, while Group #2 started at the Pavilion Playground at Tottotville. Group #1 proceeded north while Group #2 proceeded south on Koblerville Road practicing safe social-distancing in formations with masks and gloves. After completion of their community service, the battalion finally regrouped at the midpoint across the street from P & A Laundry.

The service event started at 8 a.m. and finished at 11 a.m. While the cadets cleaned up the designated areas, they tracked and recorded what they collected on an official tally sheet. For safety concerns, the SSHS’ instructors were positioned in their vehicles in the middle lane with signs instructing vehicles to slow down and be aware of the cadets working cleaning on the shoulders of the road.
In total, there were 24 cadets and two instructors during the cleanup. The event was successful and will benefit the entire community by creating a cleaner and healthier environment to live in.
