“This was a very good achievement for a first-time competitor,” said her mother Christi Lazaro, water and wastewater engineer of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.
Maria Fe Andrea M. Lazaro is a consistent “A” honor list student at Mt. Carmel. She won third place in her school’s Science Fair.
Her coach for the forensic competitions was her teacher, Tess Zulaybar who also coached Ryan Ortizon’s group in the forensic senior league, where Mt. Carmel won eight of the 13 gold medals,
“She is a very good coach and she stayed with the kids throughout the competition for two days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.,” Christi Lazaro said.
