TWO musical acts that aim to spread holiday cheer in December are inviting the public to see them perform.

On Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Marianas Beach Resort, which is the former Hyatt, the Saipan Pacific Winds Concert Band will host its annual Christmas concert, co-conductor Donovan Tudela said.

The performance starts at 4:30 p.m.

Tudela said special holiday musical arrangements are being prepared by the band, adding that the U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific’s Brass Quintet will join the Pacific Winds on stage.

General admission tickets cost $5 each, but Tudela said prices will vary depending on where attendees would like to sit. Send a message to Pacific Winds through their Facebook page for questions regarding ticket pricing.

“When audience members arrive at our Christmas concert, we want them to feel the warmth and joy of the holiday season,” Tudela told Variety. “The atmosphere will be inviting and festive, filled with the excitement of sharing music and community spirit. Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels uplifted and immersed in the magic of the holiday season.”

Glee concert

For its part, Marianas High School’s Rhythm ‘N Harmony will host “A Not-So-Silent-Night” glee concert on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m. in the MHS cafeteria.

The price of admission is $5 for students and $10 for adults.

Like their schoolmates in the Dolphin Concert Band, who recently announced their own concert to be held on Dec. 15, MHS Rhythm ‘N Harmony will perform locally to raise funds for their trip to Guam, where they will participate in the Tumon Bay Music Festival.

“We invite you to an extraordinary evening of music and festivities,” said Rhythm ‘N Harmony President Alyana Marie Rotap. “With our impressive harmonies and moving melodies, our passionate performers will capture the spirit of Christmas, leaving you uplifted and inspired. Our concert promises moments of connection, celebration, and nostalgia, perfect for making memories that will last all season long!”
