THE Marianas Visitors Authority is launching a video clip/reel competition highlighting the “Marianas Experience,” MVA Managing Director Jamika Taijeron said.
“May is Tourism Month, and we want to involve the community. We want the community to think about what it’s like to be a tourist in our destination,” Taijeron said.
MVA is encouraging members of the community to come up with their user-generated content.
“Maybe a TikTok or some kind of clip that is able to show the world what we can do in three nights and four days here on the island,” Taijeron said.
She said the winning videos and clips will be used as marketing tools.
“There are a lot of different things to do, and different people have different ways that they would like to spend that time. So, we’re hoping that the community can come together and produce awesome videos that we can use in our marketing efforts in our markets,” she added.
She said the competition’s details and mechanics will be announced soon.
“There will be prizes, but we’re working out all the details and we’ll come up with that soon. We’re planning to launch it around next week, so that we’ll give about a month for the community to come and put those videos together,” Taijeron added.
MVA will select the winners by the end of May.
