In a recent meeting, former Rep. William S. Torres, the task force adviser, said although it’s a homestead area, Kagman is highly diverse in family connections. He did not elaborate.
Currently, he said the task force is active in Kagman 2 with Glenn Dikito as its block captain.
Dikito said there’s a need to recruit more volunteer block captains for all homestead areas.
On Dec. 2, the Kagman Neighborhood Task Force will meet with other community members to expand its program.
The meeting will take place at Lot 372, Kagman 2 at 6:30 p.m.
“I am encouraging the community members to participate in the meeting and join as volunteers,” Dikito said.
During the meeting, he said he will invite Boy Scouts director Calistro Reyes to discuss the role of the scouting
movement in the community.
Dikito said he will also discuss with school principals the possibility of arranging a meeting with PTA members.
The task force, he said, will be preparing flyers about its program and distribute them to students to help relay the information to their parents.
Dikito said Kagman block captain Eric Magofna, who is also the Kagman High School vice principal, is currently “upgrading his education.”
But Magofna will continue to work with the task force from time to time, Dikito said.
