Camacho, who also chairs the Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council, said the task force is getting support from different sectors of the community.
This Friday, at 9 a.m., he said the officers and members will be sworn in by Chief Justice Miguel S. Demapan at the multi-purpose center in Susupe.
The task force’s programs include community revitalization and development as well as an anti-crime campaign.
It has active members in Dandan, Kagman, Koblerville, Tanapag, Chalan Kanoa and Susupe.
Camacho said Janice Tenorio is the new block captain in Chalan Kanoa.
“She is very aggressive and has shown interest in helping the community,” he said.
William S. Torres, the group’s adviser, said once they are successful in these pilot villages they will extend the program to other areas.
“Our next move is to become a charter member of the national task force,” he said.
Torres said they are also collaborating with school PTA’s, civic organizations and clubs.
