NMC Career Fair set for April 22

The NMC Career Fair will be held on Thursday, April 22,  from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the NMC campus, Room D1.

The fair will include various businesses, government agencies and non-profit organizations, which will expose NMC students to available options in the job market today.

To prepare students for the Career Fair and for the realities of job hunting, the organizing committee will also be hosting several workshops to assist students with interviewing and resume writing skills.  These workshops will be conducted by NMC instructor Larry Lee, and NMC human resource staff Jack Kiyoshi and Bobbie Hunter on two separate days, April 19 and 20.

Inclusive of workshops, students will have the opportunity to learn about law enforcement and social services through presentations from the Department of Public Safety, Karidat, Northern Marianas Protection and Advocacy Systems Inc., and the Community Guidance Center.

Confirmed employer participants for the Career Fair include: Wells Fargo Financial, Marianas Variety, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, CNMI Office of Personnel Management, and the U.S. Coast Guard.

“We would like to thank last year’s participating businesses and organizations for giving our students the opportunity to network,” said NMC interim President Lorraine T. Cabrera. “We are enhancing our efforts to increase the number of participating employers during this year’s fair.”

The NMC Career Fair committee is inviting interested employers to avail of this opportunity to gain access to many talented individuals at NMC by contacting the NMC career services department to register for the event.
