Note in Taipei

TAIPEI (PINA) — Marshall Islands President Kessai Note is the latest Pacific islands leader to visit Taiwan.

He is on a six-day visit, Taiwan’s Central News Agency reported. It follows recent visits by Tuvalu Prime Minister Koloa Talake and Solomon Islands Prime Minister Allan Kemakeza.

Note’s entourage includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Gerald Zackios, Minister of Finance Michael Konelios, House of Iroij Vice Chairman Tony Robert and Kwajalein Atoll Mayor Wilmer Bolkeim.

Note will call on President Chen Shui-bian, the Legislative Yuan, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Mainland Affairs Council and the Council of Agriculture, Central News Agency said. He will also visit economic and cultural establishments.
