The latest reports from the Commonwealth Auto Dealer’s Association showed that the three dealers — Joeten Motors, Microl Corp., and Triple “J” Motors — sold 14 sedans, six trucks, one van and 15 sport utility vehicles last month.
Joeten Corp. sold the most number of brand new cars, 14, while Microl Corp. and Triple “J” Motors sold 11 units each.
Toyota still remains the vehicle of choice among customers with 11 units sold by Microl Corp. Ford and Mazda followed as the second most popular brands last month, with 6 units sold each. Nissan sold 4, Suzuki, 3, while Honda, Kia and Hyundai sold 2 each.
Brand new car sales for the first 10 months of 2010 now total 499 units, indicating a 33.78 percent increase compared to the 373 units sold by the dealers for the same period last year.
This year’s sales included 224 sedans, 73 trucks, 30 vans and 172 SUVs.
Dealers sold 20 used cars last month: Microl, 10; Triple “J,” 7; and Joeten Motors, 3.
To date, the three dealers have sold 244 used cars.
Joeten Motors distributes Nissan, Ford, Honda and Kia. Microl Corp. sells Toyota and Chevrolet while Triple “J” Motors is the local dealer for Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Suzuki, and Mazda.
