They are the kindergarten class of Roselle Carreon, the first grade class of Orpha Singeo, the second grade class of Arlene Cholymay, the third grade class of Maria Ano, the fourth grade class of Susanne Gates, and the fifth grade class of Therese Guerrero.
The winners received baskets of books.
The Super Turtle Readers, held last month, was a competition among the grade levels for the most number of pages they could read.
In this reading campaign, parents read with their children every night for at least 30 minutes at home.
To monitor if the children were reading with their parents, their parents had to sign a log sheet to indicate the number of pages read each day.
The log books determined who the winners were.
Aside from encouraging children to read, the program also allowed the parents to interact with their children, Oleai principal Glenn Muna said.
He is hoping that parents will continue reading with their children even after the competition.
