The proceeds from the sales will be added to the funds that will help finance the community projects of the organization.
Interested individuals can buy the CDs from Rotary Club members.
Launched during the Thanksgiving luncheon for the Aging Center last year, the CD titled “Christmas in the Marianas” features original holiday songs in Chamorro, Carolinian and English performed by local artists from Saipan, Tinian, Rota and Guam.
The Rotary Club produced 2,000 copies and the CDs were sold for $15 each. The CDs were distributed to various grocery stores in the community and to off-island customers through online purchasing.
Reservations for the Christmas CD can be made through the Rotary Club’s Facebook page or by sending an email to [email protected].
“Christmas in the Marianas” was originally made here and reproduced in the Philippines. Among the projects that will benefit from the proceeds is the construction of a children’s playground in Kagman.
On Tuesday next week, Nov. 22, the Rotary Club will host a Thanksgiving luncheon for the manamko’ at the Aging Center in Garapan.
The Rotary Club of Saipan has been hosting the luncheon for senior citizens annually.
