However, Fly Guam will operate the flights between Guam and Saipan over Thanksgiving. Guam-Saipan and Saipan-Guam flights will operate on Nov. 23, 27 and 28, 2011.
New shareholder
Fly Guam has made a private sale of 51 percent to Triyar Capital, a U.S. company. Triyar has substantial experience in the aviation field and business experience ideally suited for the investment in Fly Guam. Triyar Capital is a dedicated private equity identity based in Los Angeles, CA.
New strategy
The management team of Fly Guam, with full support of all shareholders, will implement a new strategic plan to provide a more stable and predictable operating climate for Fly Guam.
Suspending the routes is a sensible and proactive management decision with the long-term success of Fly Guam in mind.
As high season begins in December Fly Guam will focus on its primary objective — securing guaranteed flights from Japan, China and Taiwan, bringing more tourists to the islands of Guam, Saipan and Palau.
New focus on identified routes by Fly Guam going forward will provide beneficial support to the operation and to a successful year-end for 2011 and continued into 2012.
