PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSMIS/PIFS) — The meeting of Forum Trade Ministers is now underway in Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia and is of critical importance to the economies of the Pacific region.
“This meeting provides ministers with an opportunity to progress of the negotiations for the Pacific Agreement on Closer Economic Relations between the Forum Island Countries and Australia and New Zealand,” said Tuiloma Neroni Slade, secretary general of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat at the opening of the meeting.
CONGRATULATIONS! Specialist/E-4 David John M. Apatang graduated on April 30 from Basic Combat Training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Specialist Apatang is married to Chasmyn Santos Apatang. He has two sons and one baby on the way. Specialist Apatang followed the footsteps of his father, retired first sergeant and former Rep. David M. Apatang.His wife, children, parents, parents-in-law and family members are proud of his accomplishment.
