On early Friday morning, June 6, at about 4:12 a.m., police responded to a robbery in progress. The victim, a 53-year-old Chinese male, was in the cashier’s booth, when the suspect came into the booth, punched the victim on the face knocking the victim to the ground.
The suspect was armed with a machete. The suspect grabbed money from the cashier drawer and fled the scene. The suspect was last seen running west toward Beach Road away from the crime scene.
The suspect was described as a local male, wearing a blue cloth covering his face, white t-shirt, and blue long pants. The money stolen from the cashier booth was over $30 cash.
