He said the ongoing mechanical repairs of the crankpin bearing on Engine 2 and other mechanical repairs on Engine 8 at Power Plant 1 have resulted in the continuous power outages.
CUC earlier reported that the repairs on engine 8 would be completed last Friday.
But as of yesterday, Camacho said, Engines 3 and 6 were the only units operational at Power Plant 1 so the “load shedding schedule for the upcoming week has been amended to reflect the available power supply.”
“CUC apologizes for any inconvenience the load shedding schedule has imposed on the community and will continue to work diligently to resolve the problem,” he said.
From Aug. 30 to Sept 5 power interruption will begin from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Feeder 1-second partial, comprising Upper Navy Hill, Upper MIHA, 99 Cents Store; Feeder 2-entire grid, covering the portion of Lower Base, CPA Seaport, Beach Road Garapan South to San Jose intersection; and at feeder 7-entire grid, in Lower Base industrial area, north to Tanapag, Achugao, San Roque, As Matuis and Marpi.
A three-hour power outage from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. is scheduled at feeder 3-second partial, comprising Upper Gualo Rai and Taro Sue; Kiya 1- entire grid, As Terlaje, NMC, portions of Fina Sisu, San Vicente to Botanical Garden, lower Dandan Homestead, Upper Dandan Homested, Isley Field; Kiya 4- entire grid, Chalan Kiya, San Jose, Oleai, Susupe, Mount Carmel and south to portions of Chalan Kanoa.
For Feeder 1-second partial, power interruption will start at 2 p.m. and end at 5 p.m. affecting Upper Navy Hill, Upper MIHA, 99 Cents Store. This will include feeder 2-entire grid, Lower Base industrial area, north to Tanapag, Achugao, San Roque, and As Matuis and Marpi.
There will be no power from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in feeder 3-second partial, Upper Gualo Rai and Taro Sue; Kiya 1, entire grid, As Terlaje, NMC, portions of Fina Sisu, San Vicente to Botanical Garden, lower Dandan Homestead, Upper Dandan Homestead, Isley Field; and Kiya 4-entire grid, Chalan Kiya, San Jose, Susupe., Mount Carmel and south to portions of Chalan Kanoa.
For feeder 4, the power outage will start at 8 p.m. and end at 11 p.m., affecting Lower Base, Sadog Tasi, Capital Hill, Kagman and portions of Papago/Botanical Garden. It will also cover Kiya 2 — As Lito, Koblerville, As Gonno, San Antonio and Afetnas as well as portions of Fina Sisu.
From 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., there will be no power for Feeder 3-second partial, in Upper Gualo Rai and Taro Sue; Kiya 1-entire grid, As Terlaje, NMC, portions of Fina Sisu, San Vicente to Botanical Garden, Lower Dandan Homestead, Uppder Dandan Homestead, Isley field; and Kiya 4-entire grid in Chalan Kiya, San Jose, Oleai, Susupe, Mount Carmel and south to portions of Chalan Kanoa
