CNMI public schools have canceled classes Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 10-11, due to an approaching typhoon.
“The storm is shifting up and down a little bit, but we are planning to close schools [on] Tuesday and Wednesday for now, and any other decisions [will be made] depending on the weather,” Interim Education Commissioner Donna Flores said on Monday.
She said the Public School System is “securing our buildings and campuses while preparing the emergency shelters that may be needed.”
Once an official notice is received from Gov. Arnold I. Palacios, Flores said PSS will issue a memorandum closing schools and opening designated shelters.
