The rosary, according to her daughter Olinka Chaudry, will be held on Oct. 11 at 12 noon at the Fishing Base in Garapan.
She said this will be the second time that CNMI will be joining Roman Catholic devotees all over the world in praying the Rosary at the same time.
Last week, the mother and daughter, together with other volunteers, arrived from Kansas where they conducted a telephone campaign to remind U.S. residents of the 91st anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima.
Cabrera will be this year’s “rally captain” on Saipan.
“We need to pray very hard not only for the CNMI but for the entire world,” she said. “Many bad things are happening now, especially in the U.S.,” she added, citing the abortion and same-sex marriage.
Cabrera said she was also shocked to see the movie “The Da Vinci Code” which she thinks is blasphemous.
“We are asking all the people to open your hearts and love each other always — let’s pray the rosary,” she said.
The CNMI volunteers, according to Chaudry, are enthusiastic.
During the rosary that will last two hours, they will be praying the 15 mysteries.
Last year, Chaudry said the rosary drew 200 people, and they are expecting more will come this year as they coordinate with devotees from Rota and Tinian.
