McDonald’s Saipan president and owner Joe Ayuyu said the roundtrip ticket from Delta Airlines will be given to the lucky winner at the grand draw on June 26.
“We would like to invite the community to come out and enjoy time with your families at McDonald’s branches for the four Saturdays of June because you will also be supporting projects of the Red Cross,” Ayuyu said.
McDonald’s will donate 20 percent of all the proceeds from the Saturday specials to the Red Cross.
Ayuyu said it was his wife Marcia’s idea to team up with the Red Cross for the project.
“We have always been supporting the Red Cross for the past years, but with this team-up, we hope to come up with more funds to support the causes of the Red Cross,” Ayuyu said.
He said the Share-a-Meal promo is a win-win situation for everybody.
American Red Cross-NMI chapter executive director John Hirsh said they are very grateful to McDonald’s Saipan for the project.
“We are honored to work with McDonald’s Saipan and we thank them for the support they give to our network,” Hirsh said.
The NMI chapter can use all the funds it can get to help people in need, he added.
IT&E participation
McDonald’s Saipan marketing officer Anna Olaes said IT&E will be supporting the promo by parking the IT&E cruiser outside the McDonald’s Middle Road outlet on June 5 and during the final Saturday on June 26.
“We are very happy for the support that IT&E gave to us for this promo,” Olaes said.
She said IT&E will be displaying promo items and donate a portion of the proceeds for the Share-a-Meal program.
These tickets will be attached to a receipt with a minimum of $15 purchase from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 5, 12, 19 and 26.
Tickets will soon be available at McDonald’s in Garapan and on Middle Road, at the Red Cross office on Airport Road and at the Marianas Variety office in Garapan.
