PIC web marketing manager for Russia/CIS Elly Stoilova said the actors will perform four daytime animation stories and three evening plays starting tomorrow until Nov. 4.
“This event is an effort to promote PIC to customers in Russia during the long off-season before New Year’s,” Stoilova said.
She said a lot of entertainment is in store for children like cowboy games, pirate treasure hunts, dragon fights at the kingdom of a beautiful princess, seaman adventures, discos with interactive games and more.
Stoilova said Khabarovsk Theater “M-Art” is a touring theater company that specializes in entertainment projects for TV, radio, show programs, street performances and teambuilding.
The small actors’ crew became popular with their play “Dandelion,” which ranked in the top 5 best plays in Japan at the theatrical festival “Kijimuna Festa” in 2006. “M-Art” also participated in street performances, entertainment and advertising clips in China, and toured with plays in Japan.
Stoilova said the theater crew arrived on Saipan last Sunday for rehearsals and will stay at PIC until Nov. 9.
“This is the actors’ first trip to Saipan and they are very excited about their visit to the CNMI,” she said.
During each performance, Stoilova said PIC will be selling tickets to raise funds for Russian charities.
As part of the hotel’s giving program “Sharing Seeds,” PIC supports an orphanage in a hospital in Vladivostok which serves over 100 newborn infants and toddlers.
PIC previously installed two new windows, built a partition between the pediatric section and the hospital lobby and purchased diapers for the babies.
“The money collected from tickets sold to Russian guests will fund the installation of new doors in the hospital’s orphanage,” Stoilova said.
In November last year, PIC invited the actors in the most popular Russian cartoon, “GoGoRiki,” for a similar charity project.
Stoilova said PIC will also be accommodating the second Russian women’s retreat group over the weekend.
She said after the success of the first retreat in June organized by PIC, the Marianas Visitors Authority, Belka Tours, the two instructors Elena and Olga are back on Saipan with 17 of their students for more special sessions.
“This retreat helps women feel happier and perform better in life as they establish a deeper connection with their inner beauty and power,” Stoilova said.
A TV crew will join the retreat group on Saipan to film a documentary about their trip and the CNMI.
MVA will assist the TV crew in showcasing the beauty of Saipan, Tinian and Rota to the Russian TV audience.
Stoilova said PIC is going all out to develop the Russian market and promote the CNMI in Russia by coming up with the New Year holiday programs such as a special party for Russian guests for Orthodox Christmas on Jan. 7, and for the Russian New Year’s Eve on Jan. 13, 2012.
PIC is inviting two famous Russian celebrities, Konstantin Pospelov and Vitaliy Rogozin, for the upcoming parties.
During the New Year, PIC expects to accommodate its 20,000th Russian guest since the opening of the market in 1996.
