Thirty-one vendors will join the booth competition using local materials in arranging and setting up their stalls.
The live entertainment will feature Maggie Naputi.
The Sabalu farmers decided to revive the pre-Thanksgiving celebration first held two year ago.
Tomorrow, the market’s business hours start at 6 a.m. and will end at 12 noon.
Bernie C. Aldan, Sabalu treasurer, said there will be more “surprises” for customers of the Saturday market which is located across from Marianas High School in Susupe.
Aldan said Sabalu farmers want to show that despite the tough times, they continue to serve the community by offering quality farm produce at reasonable prices.
She said there has been a slight decrease in the number of their buyers this month, but farmers are still interested in securing slots at the market.
This year, two vendors were allowed to join the market and many more are still applying, Aldan said.
They have limited slots in the area so they cannot accommodate all applicants, she added.
According to Aldan, their customers have requested for an extension of the market business hours, but due to the weather, she said farmers have to observe the regular market time to maintain the freshness of their produce.
“We have the best quality and wide variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, root crops, fresh fish, and fresh, sweet juicy and mouthwatering shrimp and others,” she told Variety.
She invites community members to also visit the Sabalu Market on Tuesday at the Garapan Fishing Base.
