“It has been a long campaign, but a majority of commonwealth voters have now signified their confidence in your continued leadership,” CNMI Congressman Gregorio C. Sablan said in a letter to the governor.
“I look forward to continuing to work with you and Lt. Gov. Inos for the good of the Northern Mariana Islands. There are many challenges our islands face. I hope that you will consider the congressional office your partner in meeting those challenges. Once again, congratulations on your success.”
In a separate statement, Guam Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo said Fitial’s re-election “will maintain the continuity in leadership during this critical time for the CNMI.”
She added, “I look forward to working with Governor Fitial further on issues important to the economic well-being of our region, and I congratulate him on his election victory.”
