The Lions also repaired a barbecue stand, and installed an urn for cigarette butts, club president Arceli Lizama said as she asked the cooperation of beachgoers in helping maintain the cleanliness of the pavilion.
“This is for everybody so let’s keep it clean,” she said.
Lizama added that they plan to install more cigarette butts urns in the area.

“Club members pitched in to raise funds for this project. We didn’t get ‘outside’ donations,” she added.
Also this week, the club distributed care packages to community members who are in dire need of basic necessities.
Lizama said they distributed 51 packages each containing rice, eggs, oranges, milk, laundry detergent, noodles and bathroom tissue.
She thanked club marketing communications officer Maria Javier, owner of SM Mart, for donating 50 10-pound bags of rice, and the club members who helped complete the pavilion project and distribute the care packages: Ruth Reyes, Petelyn Camacho, Hector Sevilla, Mikee Guirrey, Ricardo Ortiz, Reynaldo Ortiz, Mario Buela, Juanito Sarmiento, Alfredo Agsaulio, Juvy Ortiz, Estrella Lontoc, Jasminda Guiao, Rosemarie Robediso, Rosalinda Guevarra, Carmen Japitana, Erlinda Delos Santos, Lourdes Ortiz, Teddy Guiao, Pacita Angeles, Josephine Tengco , Estela Macale and Merlyn Daamo.
