Saipan Marianas Lions Club provides rice to furloughed CWs

“Kindness matters in all aspects of life, especially during hardship,” club president Ladyvir Canape said as she thanked Alpex Saipan for its donation that made the rice distribution possible.

The distribution was part of the “Relieve the Hunger” project of the club.

“The club will continue to help where help is needed, be it about relieving the hunger, keeping the environment clean, and assisting the youth of today,” Canape said.

The club is also pursuing its diabetes awareness and control program, she added.

Canape said Lions Clubs International advocates for five global causes that include these areas of need: diabetes, hunger, childhood cancer, vision, and the environment.
