This community effort was geared toward beautifying the school in preparation for the upcoming school year, which starts next week.

Amid bright sunshine and a strong spirit of camaraderie, club members and volunteers gathered early in the morning at Hopwood. Their mission was clear: to refresh the school’s surroundings, ensuring a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere for students and staff alike.

Tasks included painting the hallway, repainting the school entrance logo, and cleaning up the school grounds.

“This project embodies the essence of community spirit and service that the Lions Clubs stand for,” said Lion Angel Lastimado, president of the Saipan Unity Lions Club. “We believe that a well-maintained school environment contributes to the overall success and well-being of our students. We’re proud to partner with other local clubs to make this vision a reality.”

The event saw participation from members of various Lions Clubs across Saipan, each bringing their unique skills and enthusiasm to the project.

The Brigada Eskwela initiative is not just about beautification; it also emphasizes community collaboration and the importance of preparing school facilities for students as they return to classes.

The Lions’ efforts will not only improve the aesthetic appeal of the school but also foster a sense of pride among students and their families. Parents and teachers at Hopwood Middle School expressed their gratitude for the support from the Lions Clubs.

As the day drew to a close, volunteers celebrated their accomplishments, reflecting on the importance of service and community engagement. The Lions Clubs’ collective efforts are sure to leave a lasting impression on the students, encouraging them to take pride in their school and community.

With the successful completion of Brigada Eskwela 2025 at Hopwood Middle School, students are all set to return to a refreshed and vibrant environment on the first day of school.
