According to the Finance document, San Nicolas has a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder with a monthly lease of $900, or an annual payment of $10,800.
In an interview on Friday, San Nicolas, Covenant-Tinian, said he used to lease a Nissan Pathfinder but has “downgraded” to a “smaller and cheaper” vehicle due to a recent budget cut.
His office used to receive about $33,000 in quarterly allowance, but now gets a little over $20,000.
Due to this budget cut, he said he also reduced the salaries of his staff.
San Nicolas said for the past two years, he has been using a Nissan Sentra which his office is paying for $500 a month, or $6,000 in annual lease fee.
