Senior citizens to hold Halloween Bash on Friday

Dubbed as “Halloween Bash” the program will also recognize the 12 birthday celebrants of October.

Walter Manglona, Aging Office program coordinator, said they will have a costume contest and games.

This year’s celebration will have more games that senior citizens can enjoy, he added.

“We will have more prizes and more participants,” he said.

According to Manglona, he prepared “better” games that even persons with disabilities can join.

There are four categories for the costume contest: scariest, funniest, sexiest and most original.

Manglona said each category will only have one winner.

Prizes will also be given to the game winners.

The program will start at 10 a.m.

Manglona said the manamko’ are very excited because this event is another “great way” to interact with one another.

Aging Office Director Rose Mondala is very supportive of the event, he said.

She even donated home gadgets and appliances as prizes, he added.

Rep. Joseph M. Palacios, R-Saipan, donated appliances, sacks of rice and detergent.

The Senior Citizen Advisory Council, on behalf of the manamko’, will accept donations from community members and business establishments until Friday.
