Steinlager beer launched on Saipan

During the launching, Marianas Pacific Distributors Inc. sales team leader Tom Basa told the Variety that Steinlager, New Zealand’s biggest export beer, is now available here in two variants — the Steinlager Pure and the Steinlager Classic.

Marpac is the sole distributor of Steinlager beer, and Basa said they want to launch the product on a big scale.

Steinlager, a lager-style beer, has a 5 percent alcohol content and is made from water, malted barley, hops and yeast — all sourced from New Zealand and brewed by Lion Nathan in Newmarket, Auckland, New Zealand.

Steinlager Classic and Steinlager Pure are a “hit” with premium beer lovers all over the world.

Basa said he is positive the smooth and refreshing flavor of Steinlager will appeal to the CNMI’s beer drinkers.

“Steinlager is available in all major retail outlets at a very competitive price,” Basa said.

Guests at the launching party enjoyed free, overflowing Pure and Classic Steinlager beer from 8 p.m. until the party broke up at 1 a.m. Lucky winners went home with various prizes in the raffle draw courtesy of the sponsors.

“We are very happy to launch Steinlager Pure and Steinlager Classic to the island. Try it and you will discover it’s a great refresher to complete any party,” Basa said.

LJ Castro was the event host. Sponsors for the launching event were IT&E, GIG and Marpac.
