Police said the boy entered the residence of a 61-year-old woman.
After his arrest, the boy was transported to the Department of Public Safety for booking and detention.
Police said they recovered the stolen items from the suspect’s latest victim as well as other valuables from previous victims, including a digital camera with an estimated value of $800.
Police responded at 8:23 a.m. after the victim reported that she found her home burglarized after coming from the church.
Missing were a laptop and canned goods.
As Officer Jonathan Decena was conducting his investigation, the victim saw a male juvenile lurking behind the trees outside her residence.
Decena went outside to investigate and the juvenile took off running.
Police caught the juvenile after a foot pursuit, and asked the suspect why he was running.
The juvenile confessed to burglarizing the victim’s home, police said.
The suspect then showed Decena the location of the canned goods, the laptop and other items stolen by the boy in previous burglaries.
