During yesterday’s session, Benavente said the bill only creates uncertainty and fear among public servants.
Torres later told reporters that Benavente’s arguments were “persuasive.”
He said he doesn’t want children of the affected government employees to “suffer more.”
Asked what he will do if the administration requested him to reintroduce the bill, Torres said he will use his own judgment based on the information provided to him.
