US Defense representative to hold public meetings on Guam, NMI

Five public hearings will be held to inform the public about the Proposed Action and to obtain written and oral comments on the Draft EIS/OEIS.

All public hearings include an open house information session beginning at 5 p.m. and a public hearing beginning at 7 p.m. Public hearings will be held on the following dates and locations:

GUAM

About the meetings

The open house sessions and public hearings will be held to inform the public about the U.S. Defense Representative’s Proposed Action and to obtain written and oral comments on the Draft EIS/OEIS for consideration in the final document.

The open house information session will begin at 5 p.m., where members of the community can browse the information stations and speak with project team representatives regarding the Draft EIS/OEIS.

The public hearing will begin at 7 p.m., where members of the community can make oral comments regarding the Draft EIS/OEIS. Oral comments will be recorded by a certified court reporter.

Submit comments

Public comments on the Draft EIS/OEIS will be accepted throughout the 45-day comment period, from January 30, 2009, to March 16, 2009.

Written comments may be submitted at the meetings or to the address below.

All written comments must be received by March 16, 2009, to ensure they become part of the official record.

All timely comments will be responded to in the Final EIS/OEIS.

The EIS/OEIS document and information related to the Proposed Action is available on the project Web site (www.MarianasRange ComplexEIS.com).

The project Web site provides a form for submission of electronic comments.
