Villagomez: Federalization to impact public health

He earlier said that once local immigration is federalized, the  nonresident health workers are likely to move to the U.S.

“We’re looking at how to go on,” he said.  “We’re actively addressing the issue of how  federalization will affect us and our ability to hire and retain nonresident workers.”

He added,  “I think we don’t even have any regulations in place yet to address that concern.”

Public Health, he said, cannot afford to do nothing and must ensure that it has enough  personnel in place.
