Workers to offer free training on construction jobs

The training is one of the various programs of the Pilipino Contract Workers Association.

Jun Concillado, Pilcowa board chairman, said the training will allow interested Filipino workers to learn more about construction jobs.

Pilcowa has yet to set a date for the training sessions, but interested person are advised to inquire at the group’s office in Koblerville.

Early this month, Concillado said Pilcowa members and their families conducted a cleanup drive at Wing Beach area.

About 40 individuals participated in the campaign coordinated by the Division of Environmental Quality.

“We believes that it is Pilcowa’s obligation to implement project that will benefit the residents of this island,” Concillado said.

The cleanup drive and free medical check-ups have been regular activities of Pilcowa since it was organized in 2006.
