Man, 40, accused of groping girl, 9

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A 9-year-old girl accused her 40-year-old neighbor of touching her inappropriately.

On Sunday evening at about 9:41 p.m., Guam Police Department officers responded to a criminal sexual conduct complaint at a Barrigada residence where the mother of a 9-year-old girl reported her daughter was “touched inappropriately” by her neighbor Eneriko Reselap, 40, according to a magistrate’s complaint filed on Tuesday.

The victim’s parents told police their daughter reported earlier that evening the girl was dancing with her friends when Reselap allegedly touched her buttock.

“After the defendant touched her buttock, the victim moved his hand away and stepped away from the defendant. The defendant then moved in front of the children and the defendant reached over to the victim and touched the victim’s breasts,” the complaint stated.

The 9-year-old girl then pushed Reselap’s hand away and went to her parents to tell them what happened, and the police were contacted soon afterward, according to the complaint.

Officers spoke with Reselap, whose breath and person smelled of alcohol. Reselap was arrested about 20 minutes after police responded. When he was being placed in hand restraints he allegedly stated, “I’m sorry,” according to the complaint.

Reselap was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct as first-degree felonies.
