Man in Palau ice case denies charges

Aiken Uehara appeared in court for arraignment and bail hearing on March 23.

He was released from custody after posting a $5,000 surety bond.Uehara was charged with one count of trafficking  a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance for selling methamphetamine, also known as “ice,” on March 9.A police affidavit submitted to the court stated that agents of the narcotics division conducted a buy-bust operation on March 9 after receiving information that Uehara was selling “ice.”A  confidential informant was given marked money in the amount of $50 which was used to buy “ice” from Uehara on March 9.
