AT 9 a.m. on May 13, the Saipan Southern High School Manta Ray Battalion Color Guard from Saipan Southern High School participated in the opening ceremony of the Southern Isla Community Health Center in San Antonio.
The cadets presented the colors for the U.S. and the CNMI whose anthems were sung by C/2LT Logan Mendiola. The Manta Ray Battalion Color Guard posted the colors and later retired them.
The U.S. flag was carried by C/MAJ Malention Amandus, who commanded the Color Guard Team. He was flanked by C/SSG Eman Barce as the left guard and C/2LT Jolash Saluta as the right guard. C/1SG Sean Villaluz carried the CNMI flag. The Senior Army Instructor, Command Sergeant Major (Ret.) Richard Basa, accompanied the color guard team.
