MILITARY members, their families, veterans and the general public are invited to attend the Memorial Day commemoration at 9 a.m., Monday, May 30, at the CNMI Veterans Cemetery in Marpi.
Last week, the administration proclaimed May as CNMI Military Appreciation Month and May 23 to 30 as CNMI Memorial Week.
This year, among those who will be honored is Sgt. Thyse Ngirutoi Tutiy who was recently laid to rest on May 17 at the CNMI Veterans Cemetery.
Gov. Ralph DLG Torres has called upon everyone to observe this week with appropriate ceremonies and activities in support and honor of U.S. troops, veterans, and their families all over the world.
