Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that the first victim did not suffer serious injury while the other victim was treated for his laceration in the head at the hospital after the incident.
Aguon said the incidents happened on June 8 at two separate occasions. The incident involving the first victim was reported to the police at 3:20 am and occurred at a gas station in Airai. The victim was attacked by two individuals and was struck with a hard object.The suspects also took the victim’s car key at the car’s ignition key and fled. The second victim walked in to the station at 2 am on June 8 and reported that he was attacked by five individuals in Ngerbeched. The police report indicated that blood was dripping from the victim’s face and head.The victim was transported to the hospital and was treated for his injuries. Meanwhile a 50-year-old man was arrested for assault and drunk and disorderly conduct. Jonathan Yalap was apprehended after he was involved in a fight at Dngeronger on June 4 at 2:40 am. The police report indicated that several individuals were drunk and were fighting at an establishment in Dngeronger. Police responded and apprehended Yalap.
