Jersey Iyar bagged the gold medal in the men shot put finals.
Iyar recorded 12.05 meter against silver medalist Ron Etscheit of Pohnpei.Etscheit has only 11. 45 meter.
Daniel Ramngen of Yap was the bronze medalist he recorded 10.94 meter.
Meanwhile Iyar’s teammate David Salapwa and Adam Kyota were fourth and eighth place. Salapwa has 10.49 meter while Kyota has 9.98 meter.
In Men discus throw, Iyar won bronze medal. He recorded 33.80 meter. The gold and silver medals were bagged by Pohnpei and Yap.
Douglas Schmidt won the men’s triple’s jump earning Palau another gold.
Meanwhile, another gold medal was added to Palau team as Chandis Cooper won the first place in Women Shot Put.
Cooper got six points and recorded 10.31 meter.Genie Gerardo of Guam has five points and 9.68 meter. She won silver medal whileJenequa Sullivan Benaven of Northern Marianas Island got the bronze medal. She has four points and 9.55 meter.
